1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Tixster Solutions LLC ("Tixster", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use tixster.net and the Tixster platform.

2. Information we collect

  • Buyers and parents: name, email, phone number (optional), and purchase details.
  • Students (for transportation passes): name, grade, school, route, and boarding scan records. This information is provided by a parent, guardian or the school, never directly by a child.
  • Organizers: business contact information and account details.
  • Payments: processed by Stripe. We receive limited information such as the card brand and last four digits, not the full card number.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, used for security and to keep the Service working.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide tickets and passes, process payments, send confirmations and renewal reminders, validate entries and boardings, provide reports to Organizers, prevent fraud, and comply with the law. We do not sell personal information and we do not use student information for advertising.

4. Student information (FERPA and COPPA)

When a school uses Tixster, we act on behalf of the school as a service provider under its direct control, and we use student information only to provide the Service to that school. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Parents and guardians may review or request deletion of their student's information by contacting the school or writing to us. [School data processing terms and state student privacy law details to be completed by counsel.]

5. How we share information

  • With the Organizer of the event or route you purchased from.
  • With service providers that help us run the Service, such as payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, hosting and security.
  • When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of others.

6. Data retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. [Retention periods to be defined.] We use encryption in transit, access controls and other safeguards to protect information.

7. Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@tixster.net. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights. [State privacy rights section, for example California, to be completed by counsel.]

8. Cookies

This website uses only the cookies needed to run it and protect it from abuse. [Update if analytics are added.]
